INCIDENTS ON A JOBSITE

In the event of an incident:

What do you do if there is an accident at your jobsite?

1. Immediately STOP any nearby moving or running equipment.

2. Call for help (first aider).

3. Ensure your own safety as you approach the casualty.

4. If safe to do so, remove the hazard from the casualty.

5. If appropriate, send someone to phone for an ambulance (911).

6. Do not move the injured person(s) unless they are in immediate danger.

7. Remain with the casualty and give reassurance.

8. Make the injured person(s) as comfortable as possible (provide blanket, etc.)

9. Do not give drinks, food or cigarettes to the injured person(s), although you may moisten their lips.

10. Make sure to immediately report any jobsite incident/accident to management in case there is anything further to be immediately done.
